Other Characteristics: As you can see in the picture, he's really, really muscular. Clocks in at 300-350lbs. He has quite the deep voice(For a sample, I point you to the City of Villains trailer in WMV here and MOV here. His voice actor for the trailer was Roger Jackson, who has been the voice on the phone in Scream, Mr. Bates in Clock Tower II, and Emperor Gramis in FFXII). Any attempt to seem 'normal' will seem off unless he is very careful to cover up his distaste for dealing with so painfully inferior humans. No matter how much he tries to hide it, he always has a hint of a scowl on his face. He keeps his hands where he can easily block or throw a punch if a fight starts, and regularly clenches them into fists in his way of figiting.

STATUS:
-Wearing his Arachnos uniform.
-Carrying longsword, sharpening steel, knife, clawed weapon.

EQUIPMENT:
-Arachnos uniform (won by the mun for entering into the Oktoberfest 2007 contest). This is most easily described as being much in the same style as an Imperial officer's uniform from Star Wars, no hat, black with red trim.
-A can of pepper spray
-A standard patient's flashlight (Jack Horner's)
-A longsword made from the angle-iron frame of his bed. Heavy and has no guard, but Recluse is obsessive about keeping edged weapons as sharp as he possibly can. Duct tape on grip.
-A knife, made out of the same materials. Duct tape on grip.
-A 12-inch sharpening steel with a square guard something like 212P-9 in this picture, but cheaper- the guard is fairly flat and made of the same metal as the rod. It has no edge, but he has worked the end into a point.
-Clawed weapon made out of several pieces of a Leftover, killed Nightshift 23.
-Remaining pieces of Leftover- Lower jaw, fingers. He has removed all remaining flesh and skin from the bones. Claws and tendons have now been used.
-Bleach
-Paint Thinner
-A toolkit from the Janitor's closet.

-two 4in metal pipes.

-Several pieces of angle-iron taken from his bedframe. These range in length, but he will most likely be using the two components that are about 4 feet long. These are durable pieces of iron that have a 90 degree angle dividing their width in half. The metal is tough on the hands, but Recluse has some plans for the stuff.
-A small collection of iron filings from a little work done on the angle-iron (Yes, this is actually useful for something- see below for more).
-A container-full of salt (Same!)
-The standard patient's journal. This has several pages torn out for the origami that he sometimes folds when bored. Sketches include:
--Courtyard landscape (dayshift 24)
--Spider City on Grandville Island (in-game city).

Currently hidden, but in use for a project:
--Radio, partially disassembled. Case has been opened and wires stripped from the circuit directly connected to the batteries.
--Two screws from the disassembly of the bed, tied to the wires attached to the radio.
--A glass of water from Dinner. A tablespoon of salt has been stirred in. The wires tied around the screws have been placed in the glass, creating a DC current through the water. Some of the iron filings have been placed in the water, and are being chemically altered by the current. The whole ensemble is hidden in his room, as the reaction takes some time.


Any and all writing that he sets down in his journal is in code, just as with his in-game hand written journals. Without the ciphers he has memorized, they are near impossible to understand.


POWERS

WITHIN LANDEL'S:
Recluse's eyes are hypersensitive to light- This means he can travel at night without a flashlight, but it causes him pain during the daytime.
All other powers have been completely removed.

UNRESTRICTED:
Super Strength- No actual statistics on this are listed, but a slightly weaker hero was seen in game-related media picking up a chunk of skyscraper at least 10 stories tall.
Flight- capable of flying at the speed of sound. Fine control requires a much slower speed, however.
Near-Invulnerability- Just like it says. Bullets just flatten against his skin and leave no mark.
Eight Extra Limbs- Probably his most distinctive feature. They range from 5' to 10' (1.5m to 3m), all armored in a metal known as impervium (No real-world equivalent: strong enough to serve as effective armor at Recluse's level of power. The best comparison I can come up with is Star Wars' Phrik alloy). The armor on each limb terminates in a blade, about 2'-3' (0.6m-0.9m) long. These are sometimes coated with a toxin, detailed below.
Toxin- Recluse's body creates a highly potent, fast-acting venom. Details of its effects are not explicitly stated in-game, they are most likely similar to the effects necrotoxin of the brown recluse spider. Necrotoxins destroy cells, causing the flesh of the affected area to literally rot away. Brown recluse bites can cause renal failure and even death. Lord Recluse's toxin seems to be much more potent: once struck, damage begins almost immediately. There is no documentation of the effects on a normal human, but high level metahumans can be affected by it, although their bodies are able to remove the toxin from their system within several minutes. When properly prepared and injected, the venom is known to have mutagenic effects, as seen in creatures known as Arachnoids that have escaped from government run research facilities.
Energy Attacks- Recluse can gather dark red energy (the same color as his eyes) around his fists to add extra power to strikes. He can also fire this energy in concentrated blasts or a wide blast radius. It has no elemental attributes listed in-game.
Armor and Equipment- I have no idea what most of the things Recluse keeps on his utility belt do. Listed below are those known.
Handgun- Recluse can be seen to posess a sidearm, but nowhere in game literature has it been used. It has to be more than a normal handgun, though.
Teleport Device- Now a standard feature in the Rouge Isles, Recluse was in posession of the first documented teleport beacon, which he used to make his escapes untrackable. In all likelihood he still posesses something of this variety, but more versitile. Destinations would most likely have to be pre-programmed, however.
Signal Jammer- Recluse carries a bottlecap-sized device that interferes with any unauthorized signals within a few meters of himself.

Personality: No morals or conscience worth mentioning. Will play nice with others until violence becomes a viable option. Has a very poor opinion of humanity. Not fond of interaction with others, but will deal with it as necessary.
